Do you Zoom? There are a lot of people I do business with on a regular basis and they know I prefer video conference compared to meeting anywhere. There are a lot of other options including Google Hangouts, Skype, and so many more I haven’t even tested. I may have also forgotten about a few along the way too. Anyway, Zoom is currently my favorite.
Do you Zoom is not their tagline. Well, I don’t think it is. Besides being able to ask fellow video conference users whether or not they Zoom, there are a lot of reasons I really prefer this tool.
The quality is great. Notice how I said great and not perfect because there have been some issues here and there. Overall, I do not get annoyed with the service and everyone on the call seems to be on the same page afterwards.
The group tools are somewhat unique. Depending on your plan, the capacity is relatively high. Zoom even offers a break-out feature so you can divide your large group into small groups. I haven’t really used it yet but I have plans. Zoom still tends to have some great quality despite adding people to the rooms. There are a couple of Exclusive Business Groups within Christian Business Connect using Zoom as their meeting platform.
Zoom is incredibly versatile. If you’re familiar with how to use integrations, you’re going to love this video conference service. Some may not know this but Zoom actually powers video meetings for other systems like Ring Central. I’m actually plan on adding their API to this website in the future. You can connect the tool to Zapier and other CRMs too.
Other features include the ability to share your screen, give control of your screen, draw on the screen, chat, and even more. Most of these functions are in Zoom’s free version too. That’s the one I prefer to use! The paid versions are relatively inexpensive if you need to upgrade. Well, unless you are integrating it as a feature in your website. I can assure you that Zoom gets somewhat pricy then.
Zoom is not perfect. I have not been a fan of their customer service. You cannot chat with anyone. That may not be a big deal for you but I like to handle issues fast. If you classify your issue as “urgent” then you have to wait one to three days for a response. This may be because I have the free plan but either way, I’m not motivated to get a paid plan as a result. I have not needed customer service’s attention more than the one time so that’s a plus.
